Part of a series of workshops dedicated to enlarge the conversation about womanhood, this session will explore gentle embodied movement, breathwork, tension releasing modalities and mindfulness meditation to awaken the wisdom of the female body

Somatic healing for women | Awakening the wisdom of the female body 

As women, we have a strong tendency to operate from the masculine/mind energy.

We live a demanding modern life that often creates tension in our body and produces an overactive mind. As women it is our essence to feel. It is through the divine messengers that our feelings are how we live life, how we create life and how we connect to our inner wisdom and intuition and yet it is something we have become detached from.

Through gentle embodied movement, breathwork, tension releasing modalities and mindfulness meditation we can start to identity and unwind the deeply ingrained patterns of tension, unburdening our nervous system and reconnecting to a state of flow that we as women all posses.

Its like we let the fog clear of a road that we are already familiar with, but haven’t been able to see clearly.

In the workshop we learn valuable tools that help us to regulate the nervous system in times of over or underwhelm, so that we expand our capacity to move through powerful emotions/energy that we are reluctant to feel. We learn to let these energies rise and effectively release.

As tension, contraction and emotion are being freed, we create the space in our bodies to feel and listen again. Feeling and listening to the depths of our desires, wisdom and intuition. As a result we will feel more at home within ourselves, increasing our ability to connect through our body with ourselves and others, expanding our overall wellbeing and experiencing a more joyous and vibrant energy.

Every woman in any stage of her life is welcome. No experience necessary.

Carmen was born in The Netherlands in a multicultural family. Due to her upbringing and having lived in five different countries, she understands like no other what it means to have an open mind, be empathetic and understanding of people regardless of age, nationality or gender.

She is a firm believer that everyone has their own path to follow and she finds it important that people embark on a journey of self discovery and therein stay true to and rediscover their autonomy, sense of safety and joy.
Carmen encourages students to establish a deep connection with their breath in each movement in order to explore the different layers of their own unique system while always maintaining a smile and an open mind.
After graduating from her multi- style teacher training in Goa, India, Carmen discovered her passion for dynamic and creative vinyasa classes and yin. That passion extended throughout the years into the areas of breathwork, meditation and Somatic practices in order to provide students with a holistic experience towards the path of wholeness and love. She is able to bring a diverse range of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual knowledge to each class in a grounding yet light hearted and fun manner.’




A wholistic support to being a woman through the challenging changes of our life stages.

Our aim is to offer a series of short workshop on specific subjects about being a woman, with the intention to open up the conversation on topics that are still “taboo” or simply come with a lack of information, and to offer female practitioners a variety of extra tools they can use to better understand what they’re going through in life and how to support the body-mind’s inherent self-healing process.

The workshops will be offered to a max of 12 students to create a personal, intimate and safe environment. Each sessions is 2-hours long and includes some education/information on the specific subject, some embodied practices and space for some sharing. And of course a cup of tea shared in community.
