SPECIAL CLASS | Yoga Nidra with Sound

A special class that combines the nidra practice of deep relaxation with sound elements like singing bowls, chimes and other instruments. You will leave feeling energized yet deeply rested.

In this special class we will combine the “yogic sleep” practice of deep relaxation with sound elements like singing bowls, chimes and other instruments.

This special combination of tools will help you deepen stillness and calm your nervous system, using sounds to guide awareness, release tension, and facilitate healing while in a conscious, dreamlike state. The rotation of awareness through the body stimulates the vagus nerve, shifting the brain into alpha/theta waves for profound rest, alongside the sound bath.

We will begin with a collective moment of intention setting, so the yoga nidra can be intuitively guided and shaped by the energy of the moment.

We’ll ease into the practice with basic, very gentle and accessible movements to prepare the body for laying down.

You will then comfortably lay down on your mat and be guided through a yoga nidra practice supported by sounds, allowing your body to bathe in different frequencies and vibrations. Sound enhances the nidra by guiding you into deeper states of rest, making it easier to relax and integrate the experience.

You will leave feeling energized yet rested, like you’ve had deep sleep, with stress melted away, a calmer nervous system, and improved focus.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

FLEUR VAN ZONNEVELD

Being a dancer, the body always has been fascinating to Fleur. Her dancing years taught her so much about that body. And then she found out about yoga…It felt so familiar, but yet so different. The more yoga she experienced the more she discovered the deeper layers that can be found beyond the physical body. And the deep interconnection of body, breath, emotions, mind, and the subconscious. Fleur loves to bring western knowledge and ancient yoga teachings together so that yoga can be really used in the midst of the waves of modern life. For Fleur yoga is a way to explore yourself. To connect deeper to your own truth. So in every yoga experience she creates a space where you can go on a journey with and within yourself. Through gentle vinyasa yoga, breathwork, restorative, yin, meditation, energetics, yoga nidra, sound practices, and yoga therapy practices she supports you to experiencing yourself and life in a conscious way.
Over the past 15 years she has been teaching, guiding workshops, teacher trainings and immersions and recently graduated as a yoga therapist.
