WEEKEND RETREAT SERIES: an immersion for teachers
A series of weekends offered as an invitation for yoga teachers to return to the roots of their teaching, to rediscover purpose, refine skill, and rekindle devotion. Through the lenses of Jnana and Krama Yoga, we’ll explore how knowledge, action, and devotion weave together in the art of teaching.
Each weekend blends philosophy, embodied practice, and practical labs, bridging ancient wisdom with the modern classroom. Together, we’ll move beyond simply leading poses and toward teaching from a place of depth, integrity, and presence.
Weekend 1 Jnana Yoga: The Wisdom Path (25-26 april)
Rediscovering your dharma as a teacher
As teachers, we guide others toward stillness and to do that, we must first listen to the quiet within ourselves. This weekend invites you to clear the inner noise and reconnect to the wisdom that moves through you rather than from you.
Focus & Practice Labs:
- Exploring the energetic arc of sequencing how to structure a class that mirrors the natural rhythm of energy: grounding, activation, expansion, release, and rest.
- Understanding how the order of asana categories affects the student’s energetic experience.
- Practicing layered sequencing, moving from foundational to more complex waves of movement, while maintaining coherence and clarity.
- Reflection and journaling to identify your teaching dharma your unique voice and purpose as a guide.
Weekend 2 Krama Yoga: The Path of Right Action (20-21 june)
Teaching with integrity cueing, assisting, and embodying the Yamas & Niyamas
This weekend explores what it means to teach responsibly, with respect for both tradition and the modern student. We’ll look at the delicate balance between offering support and overstepping, between guiding and holding space.
Focus & Practice Labs:
- Ethics of touch and physical assisting: when to offer, when to hold back, and how to communicate consent clearly and compassionately.
- Practical assisting techniques that focus on grounding, stability, and safety rather than performance or depth.
- Cueing with clarity: learning to say less, mean more, and use language that empowers rather than directs.
- Reflecting on the Yamas and Niyamas not as theory, but as living guides for teaching and interacting with students.
- Guided discussion on the Gheranda Samhita and classical Hatha Yoga texts to understand the roots of ethical, embodied teaching.
Additional Offering: Individual Mentorship
When you sign up for both weekend retreats, you will receive two 30-minute mentorship sessions, one with each teacher, to be scheduled anytime after the weekends.
These sessions are an opportunity for personal reflection, teaching guidance, or support with sequencing, theming, or professional development, a way to integrate what was learned and receive tailored feedback for your own teaching journey.
For Whom:
This training is designed for yoga teachers who wish to deepen their understanding and authenticity in teaching and for those seeking to reconnect with the deeper purpose behind their practice.
Each weekend stands on its own, yet together they form a full circle, from wisdom to action.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS
MOENA DE JONG
Driven by an insatiable curiosity for depth, Moena started her yoga education journey over 15 years ago with a Critical Alignment training, then continuing her yoga journey with a teacher training from Svaha Yoga (Jivamukti-inspired), extensive Vipassana meditation practice, and numerous workshops with various international instructors.
In 2014, she obtained her 500-hour certification from Jivamukti Yoga in New York. In addition to Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, Yoga Nidra and Pranayama are strong passions she enjoys sharing with her students. Her lineage traces back to Swami Satyananda Saraswati. Tibetan Buddhism captured her heart years ago, leading her to pursue her studies within the lineage of Drukpa Kagyu.
Moena’s classes range from dynamic Jivamukti-inspired yoga to Hatha yoga in a meditative flow. She emphasizes the importance of students following their intuition and freeing themselves from self-criticism. She guides her students with light and enthusiasm on a journey towards their core.

BEATRICE SAVARIS
Beatrice discovered yoga during a time of profound personal transformation, finding herself drawn back to the mat in search of grounding and peace. What began as a journey of curiosity soon blossomed into a calling; she completed her first teacher training not merely to strengthen her own practice, but to deepen her spiritual and physical understanding of yoga. The transformative benefits she experienced ignited a passion to share these gifts with others, empowering them to find balance and harmony in their own lives.
Since then, Beatrice has pursued her studies with tireless dedication, traveling globally to learn from revered teachers like Tiffany Cruikshank, Annie Carpenter, Janet Stone, Baron Baptiste, Kathryn Budig, Megan Currie, Rocky Heron, and Noah Maze. She has also expanded her expertise with specialized training in pregnancy and postnatal yoga under Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, and in Yin Yoga and meridians with Annie Au. This lifelong commitment to learning is her way of ensuring that her role as a guide and teacher is both inspired and inspiring.
Beatrice leads classes, workshops, and trainings both in-person and online and serves as a lead instructor in multiple Teacher Training Programs across Europe.
In each class, Beatrice integrates all aspects of yoga—philosophy, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and introspection—to offer a holistic and enriching experience. Teaching yoga is both an honor and a commitment for her, yet she also brings a gentle lightness to her practice, believing that joy and presence are essential elements of growth.
