DETAILS

Friday 13th | 18:00-19:30
Yoga Sutra Philosophy Seminar
In this seminar, explore a contemporary approach to Yoga Philosophy. Experience how this ancient tradition holds many life lessons in postures and technique. For example, openness in the body relates to acceptance as a state of mind. See how life on the mat and life off the mat are often one and the same. Ask questions & discuss the inner journey openly.

Saturday 14th | 8:30-10:30 & Sunday 15th | 8:30-10:30
Morning Mysore Practice
Immerse yourself in the indescribable experience of the Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style method. Under Kino’s guidance, you will learn how to practice and work each pose without forcefulnesses. Let Kino expand your understanding on asanas you find challenging and assist you in adjustments to improve the strength, flexibility and determination to practice every day. Through this experience you will learn something new each time you step on the mat.

Saturday 14th | 13:00-15:00
Arm Balance Basics
Get your shoulders ready and rev up your core engine! In this class you will practice solid foundation and technique in both arm balances and headstand. Once the basics are established, have fun connecting the poses and work on more powerful transitions. Modifications will be given for all levels, making it easier if you’re a beginner and harder if you’re more advanced.

Saturday 14th | 15:30-17:00
Meditation Sitting
Dive down into the inner world equipped with a calm, steady mind and a courageous heart. Train the mind to be single-pointed in the Eka-Tattva state and cultivate a state of equanimity. A strong mind is a vital tool on the path of living the yogi’s life. Join this session and begin your spiritual journey.

Sunday 15th | 13:00-15:00
Handstands Clinic
No matter how long you practice, handstands are a benchmark of strength and steadiness that transcends physical disciplines. From yoga to martial arts to gymnastics a stable handstand is the key test of alignment and mastery. The only thing you need to join this class is a love of handstands. Whether you are a total beginner or have a stable handstand you will learn tools to build strength and alignment while balancing on your hands. Leave with a strength building program that you can do every day to develop the physical and emotional strength to support your handstanding journey.

Sunday 15th | 15:30-17:00
Pranayama and Yoga Breathing sitting
The breath is the thread that links the conscious and the subconscious mind, the mystical passage between the material and the spiritual. Without the magic of the breath the practice of yoga is mostly “just bending.” With a careful attention to the breath, the sacred space of the body is revealed and the mind experiences the height of spiritual realization. Leave this two hour immersion in the breath and the practice with a deeper understanding of the subtleties of the inner body. Practice with a new mindset and plant the seeds of peace. Learn how the breath unlocks new levels of practice and unlocks many difficult poses. Prepare for practice, theory and light sweating as the breath unlocks the fire of tapas, purification! Appropriate for all levels.

She is the founder of Omstars—the world’s first yoga TV network. Yoga for Kino is more than just a “workout”— it is a way life founded on a firm commitment to the moral and ethical precepts of truth, non-violence and love. Being strong in yoga is just not about a powerful handstand or a deep backbend for Kino, nor is yoga a game of extreme ableism where yogis compete with one another. Instead, Kino sees yoga a daily ritual where people tune deeply in to their spiritual center and experience the peace of the Eternal Divine. Kino believes in making the tools of traditional yoga accessible for all different sizes, shapes, ethnicities – yoga is for everyone and it is the international community of yogis who are responsible for the integrity of the sacred heart of yoga.
