You’re invited to come and explore the Yoga of Acro, a physical practice that blends elements of yoga, acrobatics, and Thai massage.
This workshop focuses on the fundamentals of this practice. We’ll explore how to work, learn, and grow with a partner without losing sight of our own needs, boundaries, and values. This 2-hours session introduces the basic postures, transitions, and how synchronized breath can make the practice light, fluid, and energizing.
The session is beginner friendly and we will always offer modifications for different bodies and proportions. The focus will be on your breath and your physical body, and how to connect in a mindful way to your partner. And … we will have fun!
Stefano and Jolien are the founders of Yoga of Acro and they are in Amsterdam for the summer – catch this special opportunity to learn from their experience and commitment to this magical practice. At the core of their teachings is that that flexibility isn’t just physical; it’s the willingness to adapt, to open, and to flow with life’s changes.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS
STEFANO ROMITTI & JOLIEN HEETKAMP
Stefano and Jolien are traveling the world together and sharing their passion for AcroYoga. Although physical practice is a big part of acro, Stefano and Jolien love to incorporate the more subtle teachings of Acro on communication, trust, letting go of control and the social connection in their daily lives. This passion grew into ‘Yoga of Acro’; a style that incorporates the yogic spirit and asanas into Acro and the other way around.
They love the many disciplines Acro has to offer, like washing machines, Icarians, whips, standing, and therapeutics. Trying new entrances, finding the edge of possibilities together, understanding transitions and making it look pretty.. yes to all of that!
Being able to switch roles on many occasions, makes them better understand what is needed to make particular skills work. This becomes very clear in their classes, being able to give cues and particular tips to make something work specific for your group. The difference in size or weight rarely limits them, it inspires them to find new ways.
They believe Acro is for everyone and hope to inspire not to stick to conventional roles. With the trust that everyone has their own path, they will practice AcroYoga on and off the mat 😉
