A unique series of 4 special classes throughout the month of August to experiment with some asana techniques in a playful way guided by the expert hands of our guest teacher Stefano.
A deep dive into the playful, powerful, and transformative aspects of the yoga practice. Each class in this series will explore one key theme—arm balances, bandhas, backbends and handstands—through technique, embodiment, and a bit of courageous fun. Open to all curious and committed practitioners.
7th August | Arm Balances: Lightness Through Courage & Play
Arm balances are a powerful way to connect with your inner strength, focus, and sense of play. In this class, we’ll explore a variety of these dynamic postures—not to “achieve” them all, but to understand the building blocks behind them and enjoy the journey.
Expect to feel everything: fear, fun, adrenaline, maybe even frustration—and leave with a deeper connection to your body and breath. We’ll offer variations and progressions for all levels, so whether you’re lifting your feet for the first time or refining transitions, you’ll walk away with tools and inspiration for your practice.
Let your inner child lead the way!
14th August | The Bandhas & The Art of Floating: Energetic Precision in Practice
In this workshop-style class, we’ll explore the subtle yet powerful world of Bandhas—the internal locks that, when activated, create lightness, stability, and energetic flow in our asana and pranayama practice.
You’ll learn the theory and physiology of Mula, Uddiyana, and Jalandhara Bandha, and—more importantly—you’ll experience them through practical drills, breathwork, and asana applications.
By the end, you’ll have a felt sense of how Bandhas can support your transitions, balance, and sense of energetic direction. A perfect complement to floating through your vinyasa or finding stillness in more advanced shapes.
21st August | The Art of Backbends: Strength, Softness & Heart-Opening
In this special class, we’ll explore the foundations of safe and sustainable backbending. You’ll learn how to create space in your spine by engaging strength and cultivating softness, with a special focus on legs, bandhas, breath, and alignment.
Together, we’ll move through a variety of backbending postures, use props, work with partners, and receive hands-on or self-adjustments. The practice will be rounded out with forward folds and deep rest to integrate and balance.
This class is for anyone who wants to open their heart—physically and energetically—and is willing to explore the emotional layers that can arise in backbends. Variations will be offered for all levels and body types. Self-awareness and honest assessment will be encouraged to keep the practice safe and empowering.
28th August | Handstands: Inversions, Alignment & Fearless Play
Handstands are often seen as the pinnacle of fun and challenge in a yoga practice. But this class isn’t just about kicking up—it’s about building the strength, technique, and awareness that make going upside down sustainable and safe.
We’ll break down conditioning drills, alignment cues, and mindset shifts to help you understand what your next step is—whether you’re learning how to approach the wall or working toward a minute-long hold. We’ll explore the delicate dance between strength and flexibility, control and release.
If you have wrist or shoulder injuries, the full handstand practice may not be accessible at the moment. However, the first part of class (focused on conditioning and technique) will still be useful—and I’ll offer alternative exercises that might even support your recovery.
Wherever you are on your handstand journey, you’ll leave with clarity, confidence, and a playful spirit!
